For the second year, A. Jay's Fight have partnered with Texas Children's Hospital to raise awareness and much-needed funds to fight EOE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis) and to improve quality of life for those with this disease.
Join in on Saturday 5th May for this walk for a cure, as well as a fun filled day of education, activities and community to kick off EGID (Eosinophilic Gastro-Intestinal Disorders) Awareness Month.
What is EOE?
Eosinophilic Esophagitis can make it nearly impossible to eat, which means no birthday cake or celebratory meal. It causes serious abdominal pain, trouble swallowing, vomiting and food can get dangerously stuck during digestion.
This can lead to a life threatening narrowing of the esophagus, which is a medical emergency. EOE is a chronic, currently incurable inflammatory digestive disease. People with EOE often have to be fed with a feeding tube and endure numerous surgeries.
When: Saturday 5th March 2018, 9am registration and 10am walk. Activities 11am - 2pm.
Where: Hackberry Park 7777 S. Dairy Ashford St. Houston, TX 77072
Price: $33 per person; children under 3 walk for free
