School's back in session, but let's be real, summer in Texas is clinging on like a stubborn piece of bubblegum on your shoe. Rally the kids and head over to the Center for a blast from the past with a morning dedicated to running through sprinklers, just like those iconic '80s movies. The front lawn will turn into a mini water wonderland, brimming with sprinklers, kiddie pools, and enough water toys to put your kid's imagination into overdrive. If your little ones want to bring their own water gadgets, be my guest, but keep a close watch; you never know when a sneaky rubber duck might make a mad dash for freedom.

Make sure the kids are suited up in their best swim gear, and don't forget a towel and a change of clothes for when the fun inevitably escalates into a delightful soggy disaster. Slather on that sunscreen unless you're aiming for a lunchtime buffet comparison with a lobster. And don't forget a refillable water bottle; hydration is crucial when they're zooming around like little whirlwinds. If the lawn gets a bit too slick for comfort, water shoes might just save you from an impromptu mudslide adventure.
